Hoda Kashiha Bio
Born: Tehran, Iran. She graduated from University of Tehran with BA in painting in 2009. Currently lives and works in Boston, USA, where she is a 2014 MFA candidate in the school of Visual Arts at Boson University.
Between 2007-2013 Hoda participated to different group shows in Tehran, Athens, Brussels, and Warsaw. Her most recent solo shows were at Elahe and Etemad gallery in Tehran, Iran. In 2011 forty of her drawings were published in a book by Mahriz Publications in Tehran, Iran. Her most recent shows in 2013 in Boston include: ‘The World that is Full of Anything (Sherman Gallery, Boston, Ma); Boston Young Contemporaries 2013 (808 Gallery, Boston, MA), Mills Gallery, BCA 2013, and ‘Realities’ at Emerson collage gallery and MFA thesis exhibition 2014 (808 Gallery, Boston, MA)Hoda is the recipient of different awards such as, Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center, BU, Rare Book Prize, Iranian Association Of Boston Scholarship, and Boston University Women’s Council Scholarship. and recently she received Esther B. and Albert S. Kahn award
